As of 2012, sweet oranges accounted for approximately 70% of citrus production. Florida farmers obtained seeds from New Orleans around 1872. We rotate procurement of our oranges between Florida, Mexico and California throughout the year in order to ensure the proper Brix (sweetness) levels are met. We are juicing Navels and Valencia throughout the year.
