Where in the World is Twisted Alchemy – Part 2

Where in the World is Twisted Alchemy – Part 2

We know the anticipation was killing you, but here we are again with part two of ‘Where in the World is Twisted Alchemy’. Go on, dive in!

After Speed Rack our next stop was NEW YORK CITY for NYCWFF! Did you know that the New York City Wine and Food Festival (NYCWFF) has raised $10.5 million to date to fight hunger? Yep, and that’s why we knew we had to get involved this year. NYCWFF is considered the largest food and wine festival in New York City. There are more than 100 events, including tastings, intimate dinners, educational seminars and of course, late night parties. We teamed up with Southern Glazer’s spirit producers to make some one-of-a-kind cocktails.

Then there was no sleep ‘til Brooklyn with the 12th Annual StarChefs International Chefs Congress in late October. We enjoyed three days of demonstrations, hands-on workshops, beverage tastings, and business seminars all explored through the theme “Cook Your Culture”, plus Industry Juice was used in all the beverage or MIX workshops. Industry Juice was also used at the MIX@ICC Bar with Highland Park, NY Distilling Co. and Del Maguey and their evening events at The Williamsburg Hotel and Extra Fancy! Let’s just say we left with some fresh ideas, great new contacts, and a reminder of why we love doing what we do!

While we were in New York, we had to go to Levántense Pa’ Puerto Rico – Stand Up For Puerto Rico, a benefit event dedicated to providing hurricane relief to families that need it most.

Next up was Bar Institute; the premier program for peer-to-peer education built by and for the bar community.

Twisted Alchemy provided pineapple juice for the Brown and Balanced event featuring 2 Chicago mixologist’s Lisa Brown and Josh Davis. Brown and Balanced is series of events designed to showcase African American bartenders and all other Bartenders of Color. This was a perfect addition to Bar Institute because they exist to edify the US bar community through education designed to further careers, boost business and create opportunities to develop talent. We enjoyed watching what it takes to help professional bartenders create better drinks faster, learn new techniques, and get a full look at creating an operating agreement. We truly believe in investing in the future of the community.

At Craft Spirits Fest, Twisted Alchemy was used in some of the amazing cocktails! The elegant affair allowed guests to interact with Spirit industry professionals plus enjoy delicious food by local chefs and Live Jazz.

November was busy with Red Bull Sound Select 30 Days in Chicago! This festival brought some fantastic acts to the city just before winter set in, and who’s not down for that? Chicago winters can be brutal so we were all about this month-long fest which has hosted a concert or event every day this month. And what mixes well with music? Cocktails of course. Twisted Alchemy was the foundation for many of the 90 different cocktails created for this 30-day event.

And that’s a wrap! We’re looking forward to 2018, cheers to keeping your creative juices flowing.
